Site Representative – Baranduda Electrical Energy Reserve

Wodonga, Victoria | Full-time, site-based

Birdwood is looking for an experienced Site Representative to lead site delivery of a 400 MW standalone battery energy storage system in Wodonga.

The role
 As the Principal's senior representative on site, you will report to the Project Manager and Project Director and be accountable for the day-to-day coordination of the BOP and BESS contractors. The work covers:

• Managing interfaces between civil, electrical, mechanical and grid connection works, and sequencing work fronts against the construction program

• Overseeing implementation of ITPs and quality hold points, and driving timely close-out of defects

• Resolving technical issues and RFIs with offsite engineering teams

• Supporting commissioning, testing and inspection readiness

• Verifying that safety management plans, permits, environmental controls and conditions of approval are implemented and maintained

• Maintaining site diaries, permits and construction records, and contributing to completion dossiers and handover documentation

• Liaising with council, neighbours and local stakeholders

Requirements

• Trade or tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering or a related discipline

• Extensive site management experience on energy or infrastructure projects

• A sound understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and site logistics

• Demonstrated leadership of contractors across multiple concurrent work fronts

• BESS or substation construction experience is highly desirable
