Birdwood’s Baranduda battery project granted Planning Permit.
birdwood is pleased to advise that the Baranduda Electrical Energy Reserve Project (the Baranduda Battery) has been granted a planning permit from the Victorian Government’s Department of Transport and Planning for the development of a 400 MW/2 GWh capacity Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in an industrial precinct directly adjacent to the Wodonga Terminal Station in Baranduda, Victoria.
TasRex, Hydro Tasmania and Birdwood partner to deliver Tasmania's first utility scale solar farm ($500m project).
This will be the 4th largest generator in Tasmania to provide energy to Launceston and surrounding users.

birdwood appointed investment manager for SAF
Birdwood Infrastructure Partners is appointed Investment Manager for the Solar Asset Fund. Birdwood has acquired the investment management rights for SAF ($120m fund) from Sentient Impact Group. Solar Asset Fund was launched in 2018, and owns three mid-sized solar farms.
